1 c. Almund flour – or any type of healthy bird safe flour

1/2 cups Uncooked Oats

1/3 cup Hemp Hearts or Flax seeds or chia seeds (based on your birds preference)

1/4 cup Uncooked Quinoa

1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

2 eggs, with or without the shell.

1/3 cup Unsweetened Applesauce or Baby Food of choice (ensure it has zero salt)

2 Mashed Bananas

1/2 cup of Almond Butter – or any other nut butter, such as peanut butter with no sugar or salt added

1 cup Mixed Veggies of your choice. I used carrots, spinach, broccoli, and bell peppers all blended. (Note: you can add two cups, just keep an eye on the consistency, you want the end result to be a peanut butter consistency.)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix the dry ingredients and then add the rest. If mixture is too dry, slowly add a little water at a time. You want this mixture to be just wet enough that it will all stick together.

Lay down parchment paper onto a cookie tray and evenly spread out the birdie bread (no more than a 1/2 inch thick aka 1.27 cm). Depending on the size of your tray, you may need two.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the tops start to brown, stick a toothpick in and if it comes out clean it is ready.

Let cool for a few minutes then you can cut them into any sized squares for your birds desired proportions.

I like to store them in a gallon Ziplock bag in the freezer, so I can take one out at a time. Then I just warm it in microwave for 30 seconds on high. Just make sure it is not too hot before serving.

If you don’t have hemp hearts – (I suggest you buy some as they are extremely healthy for both people and birds and parrots love them) – Substitute any sort of nut (walnuts, almonds or pecans), broken up fairly fine, or sunflower seeds, or flax or chia seeds.
